Saint Louis Area Fire Department Receives $2,000 Grant from Wolverine Pipe Line Company

Saint Louis, Michigan - Wolverine Pipe Line Company (Wolverine) has awarded Saint Louis Area Fire Department a $2,000 grant to support the Department’s fundraiser to replace and upgrade equipment. The check was part of Wolverine’s Good Neighbor Grant Program, where money is used to support first responders and other non-profit organizations in communities along Wolverine’s pipeline route.

“The check granted was critical to freeing up our equipment fund for upgrades like the replacement of a 1996 fire engine,” said Chief Bill Coty of the Saint Louis Area Fire Department.  “The funds will go towards the replacement of $32,000 worth of fire attack and supply hose. We are grateful to sponsoring companies like Wolverine who contribute to our success. This kind contribution completed the funding needed for this project and will serve our community for many decades.”

“The Saint Louis Area Fire Department is vital to keeping our community safe,” said Lou Kraus, Right of Way & Public Affairs Supervisor at Wolverine. “We are pleased to support them through our Good Neighbor Grant Program.”
