Wolverine Pipe Line Company (Wolverine) would like to remind residents that removing or defacing pipeline markers and digging without calling 811 is not only prohibited by law and subject to fines and imprisonment by state statute, but also poses a serious and hazardous risk to public safety. Wolverine transports refined products such as gasoline and diesel fuel in a high pressure, underground pipeline. Should the pipeline be damaged, it poses a potential risk to public safety, the environment, and the communities in which Wolverine operates. This public service announcement is a reminder to report any suspicious activity related to digging near a pipeline to the operator of the pipeline, never remove or deface pipeline markers, and always call 811 before you dig. Together we can prevent a hazardous incident and keep our community safe.
